CONVERGE facilitates Neighborhood Design Workshops with the goal of bringing neighbors together with design professionals, in order to foster positive dialogue regarding growth in the neighborhood. This Neighborhood Design Workshop is being coordinated for CIG Communities and is in support of SNAP, South Nashville Action People (Wedgewood Houston). We will work with the development team including Kiser Vogrin Design, Fulmer Lucas, Studio M Architecture and Planning, and Manuel Zeitlin Architects, to study the potential development at 467-469 Chestnut Street. We will work in small groups to brainstorm community-focused design ideas for this project. As the city grows, we need to ensure that our neighborhoods benefit through improved infrastructure, pedestrian friendly streetscapes, high quality architecture, useful alleys, new and improved public places, and green-spaces. Come make your voice heard, and let’s work together to Design Our Neighborhood to be a safe and beautiful place to live and work, and a neighborhood that celebrates diversity in which we can all be proud.
All are welcome! Bring a neighbor and positive neighborhood ideas. Contact Eric Malo with questions: ericnmalo@gmail.com.
